Today’s card is for the Global Design Projects’ challenge this week.   I am squeezing it in in the last hours of the challenge.   This weeks challenge is a nature themed challenge.

I didn’t know that I would have enough time to complete my card but I got it finished just in the nick of time.   Here’s my card .

I wanted to try my hand at no line watercoloring for a while now and the Birthday Blooms stamp set was perfect.  It had a great big flower(which I love to paint), so it was a wonderful pick.   I paired the yellow rose watercolor with So Saffron and Wisteria Wonder cardstock.   I added some of the Botanical Vellum from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog to add a little extra something something.  After I finished the watercolor I knew it needed something so I added a touch of purple watercolor to the shadowed areas to tie everything in.

To finish the card off I added a couple banners with the sentiment Thinking of you.  Since the rose can be done in so many ways in this stamp set you can change up the sentiments and make the card go for so many different occasions.   To add to the nature theme a little more what flower isn’t complete without a flutter-bye coming to the feed on this sweet flowers nectar.  I added three basic pearls to the butterfly to represent its’ body.  To add a little more pop to him I tipped him in wisteria wonder ink.

Well that finishes my card today make sure you hope over to the Global Design Project and check out all the wonderful projects that were created for #GDP031

Have a great night.
