Today’s card is a supper quick and easy card. It’s great for those last minute people that need a Valentine’s Day Card or for those that maybe forgot to make that someone special a card for the big day of Love. I know what you are thinking is he talking to me? Actually I am talking to myself, I’ve been a little busy these last few weeks, and I am trying to remind myself not to forget to make a card for my sweetheart.
This is one of those cards that you don’t have to have a lot of stuff on hand to make; I am telling you it’s easy. I used some scraps of the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack, the banner triple punch, and a card base. The sentiment is from the Bloomin Love stamp set; since this was a super simple card I didn’t want anything that would over power the card.
I mean look at this stamp set you cannot go wrong no matter which stamp you choice to put on your card. This is one of my favorite stamps sets from the Occasions Catalog. I loved everything about it when I first saw it. My only regret is that I didn’t get the bundle when I ordered. I still have to go back and grab the Thinlit dies that matches this set.
Tips & Tricks:
I punched three banners using scrap from another project using the banner triple punch. This has become one of my most used tools. I first thought when I saw it in this year’s annual catalog “Why in the world would I need that! I can cut a banner any size I want using my snips.” Boy was I wrong; I absolutely love this punch and use it all the time. And, I will admit I feel a little stupid having to admit this too everyone out in cyber land. But, I am a grownup (on occasions) and I can admit I was wrong. If you haven’t tried this tool you need to get it.
Okay, Okay back to the card I placed the banners a little offset from each other and off to one side. Stamped the image in Blushing Bride and the outline in Rose Red to match the colors in the paper stack, this is one of my favorite color combos. I this thing for Crumb Cake Cardstock! I don’t know what it is but I am just drawn to it which is strange if you look at my artwork: Because, I paint in bright vivid colors. I finished off the card by adding some of the embellishments form the Love Blossom Embellishment kit. Since this was a simple card it didn’t need much to finish it off.
I hope that you give this card a try if you find yourself in a pinch. You could easily change it up to meet any occasion. Thanks for dropping by and I will see you tomorrow. Remember, if you need any of the supplies for this card you can pick them up 24/7 from my online store.
