Today’s card is for The Paper Players Sketch Challenge PP279. Here is the sketch for this weeks Challenge.
For my card I wanted to use some of the products from both the Annual and the Occasions Catalog. It wasn’t an easy choosing from all the great Stampin’ Up! products, but I did it. It took me a little time but I did it.
I guess I am in the Birthday Day spirit, because I have done a lot of Birthday Cards lately. For my card this week I picked the new Party with Cake Stamp set, It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Paper Stack, and the Watermelon wonder 1″ Stitched Satin Ribbon. I paired it with the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper in Mint Macaron (from the Sale-A-Bration brochure) along with the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack (our of the Annual Catalog). And placed everything on a Watermelon wonder card base to tie everything in.
The large banner was created with the Watermelon Wonder ribbon I made into a pendant by folding over the ends and cutting at an angle. I attached that using Fast Fuse. Next I punched out the 2 1/2″ circle of the It’s my Paper DSP and placed that on top. I stamped my cake image using Watermelon Wonder ink and the candle using a basic black and Hello Honey stampin’ write marker. Then punched it out with a 2″ circle and popped it up on dimensionals.
The Cherry on top DSP Stack and played nicely with the It’s My Party DSP Stack. Since they both have some of the same colors through out. I finished the card by adding the sentiment stamped in basic black and placed it on the cake image using a glue dot to secure it on the 2″ circle and a half of dimensional to on the ribbon to keep everything level.
Make sure you pop over to the Paper Players site today and check out all the great cards they are doing in this weeks sketch Challenge.
