Today’s card is part of the Can You Case it Sketch Challenge CYCI#102. This is a fun and surprising card using products from the the Botanical Gardens Suite from Stampin’ Up!.
This was one of my favorite stamp sets that has came out in this years Occasions Catalog. Well I actually love the entire suite, and the Bundle that Stampin’ Up! put together is amazing. You get the Botanical Blooms stamp set, the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. Wow I and a few other demos I know missed the fact you got all that for one low price, until we went back and read it again. And the $51.75 price point qualifies you for a free Sale-A-Bration item. Which is an even better reason to purchase this bundle not to mention you are saving 15% by ordering the bundle, compared to ordering each separate.
Here’s the sketch for this challenge.
Tips and Tricks
I cut stamped the large leaves using old olive and the vines using Mossy Meadow, and used the framelits to cut them out. I next used the framelits and cut the Cajun craze flower out and sponged around the edges. You have to be careful while sponging the flower to make sure you get the small areas. I found it was very helpful to use a q-tip for this.
The small flowers is with the little bitty punch pack. I lined up the DSP (cut 3″x 4 1/4″) mid way down the card base. I used a small piece of whisper white (1/2 x 4 1/4) and stamped the sentiment.
The sentiment comes from the Sale-A-Bration brochure and was designed to coordinate with the Bundle.
This is also the featured stamp set for a Retreat in memory of my Upper Upper Upper upline that passed away in November Joanne Wiemers. Joanne was very passionate about Stampin’ Up! and loved the company and this business. I know that many in the Stampin’ Up! family knew and loved her so much. So along with Phyllis Shepherd (who will be teaching about things she learned in Brussels at OnStage) and many other demonstrators we will be honoring her memory and love of stamping on March 5th 2016. If you would like to attend the retreat you can Click here to download the form . If you would like to take part and can not attend just download the form and write at the top Retreat to Go and the kits and supplies will be mailed to you. If you have questions you can contact Jane Stull for more information
I hope that you will pop over to the Can You Case It webpage and check out all the great cards that are being produced with this sketch challenge. I know that you will love what you see. You can pop over there by clicking CYCI#102
