Today’s card is for the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge PPA282. This was a fun card and a great chance to use some of the New 2016 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration product that just went live on January 5th.
When I saw the Sky Is The Limit Stamp Set in the Sale-A-Bration brochure I knew it was a must have for me. I knew I would be able to do alot of fun things with it. And this card is the first of many to come. It is a great set to have to do masculine cards. Not, to mention it goes with all the masculine themed stamp sets in both the Annual and Occasions Catalogs.
Tips and Tricks:
The first thing I did was stamp my biplane image with Early Espresso. I also went ahead and stamped the cloud heart with Crumb Cake ink. Next I took the World Travelers TIEF and found the raised side and swiped my Tempting Turquoise Ink pad across it and cleaned off any stray ink in the landmass areas. I also lightened up some of this color in the raised areas with a tissue and took my Pacific Point Ink Pad and swiped it over the embossing folder. I again took a tissue and lightened up some of the colors to create different tones. This takes me back to college and printmaking classes. This was all attached to my mat layer of Blushing Bride (cut to 5 1/4 x 4) using tombow multipurpose liquid glue. Which is one of my favorite adhesives. Next I attached the Love Blossom Designer Series Paper Stack piece (cut at 1 1/2 x 4 1/2) to my embossed image making sure to center it. Finally I attached it all to a Rose Red Card Base. I just love this color combo it just fills me up with Love. Finally I stamped my sentiment from the Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set. The Love it’s in the air sentiment was just so fitting with this card.
I punched it out with a 2″ circle punch and then took the Clear Wink a Stella brush pen and went over the heart a couple of times to add a little sparkle to the card.
