Wow it’s Christmas week already! I just can’t believe it is already Christmas it just seems like a little over a month ago it was Spring. But, here it is and if your like me you have some last minute shopping to do. Which means going out to the store and buying gifts or wrapping your hand made items. Which is what I will be doing this year.
So today’s post will sure be of some help to some. It is this cute little 2×2 gift box cased from fellow demo Laquita Jackson. She made this cute little box for the fall and I asked if I could CASE it.
This is a great project to whip out in no time. They are also a great size for neighbor gifts and for that little something special dropped into the stocking this year at Christmas.
Here is the the video tutorial of how to make this box. The shim in the video isn’t necessary. I actually prefer it without using the shim.
To make this box you will need two pieces of paper. A 6×6 for the box base and a 4 1/16 x 4 1/16 for the lid. For how to Assemble an the cut marks I have placed a video tutorial here for you to watch. On the 6×6 you will score all for sides at 2″. On the lid piece you will score at 1″ on all for sides. I used a shim in the video but if you want a tighter box lid that slips on snug and perfectly don’t use the shim.
To make the tag I used the A Little Something Stamp set by Stampin’ Up! I chose the Thinking of you stamp. I stamped that on Whisper White Cardstock and ounces it out using a 1 3/8 circle punch. Next I punched a scalloped 2 3/8 circle out of real red Cardstock and attached it. Then to hide the little fall flowers I used the bow builder punch and punched out some merry moments DSP from the merry moments paper stack. And placed the bow on top of the flowers. The finishing touch was a Stampin Rhinestone on the bow.
I hope you enjoy this project and give it a try. If you would liked any of the products you’ve seen here today you can order them from my online store.
