Since Christmas is just around the corner; it’s time to start thinking about what to give to those on your list or a little something for your neighbor that drops by with a little gift.   Maybe, even the kids’ teachers, or to a church member, or just because you want to do something nice for someone.   Today’s project fits the bill….

A little something Christmas Pillow box

This is a great project to do a lot of and just have on hand.  You can fill them with some chocolate, jewelry, a set of 3×3 handmade cards or just about anything you can think.   They are really quick and easy to make.  I would suggest doing a few of these and put them in a basket by the door for those times when you need to grab something quick for that unexpected gift need.

This project features the A Little Something Bundle from Stampin’ Up! and the Merry Moments Paper Stack.  This is just one of my favorite stamp sets this season because it is so versatile.   The pillow box would be great for Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween or just because.   The stamp set has stamps for all these occasions.  The Bundle comes with dies for the Big Shot; one for cutting the pillow box and the others are for either cutting some of the stamps, windows in your pillow box, or just about anything you can think.

Tips & Tricks:

You will need two pieces of paper for the pillow box.  I personally think it’s better to use the 6×6 paper packs for this because they fit nicely on the sheet and I don’t have to cut them.   There is a little left over but I can find uses for them as well.   Make sure you put the adhesive on the right side, I messed up a couple, because I had them flipped wrong, or I wasn’t thinking about what flap folded where.   Let’s learn from my mess up.  The die also scores the lines you need to fold so just a heads up.   I even knew these lines were there and still messed up a couple.

This is I feel is one of those sets that you must have!   You can use it for so many of your occasions, and events that it will be a life saver.   Sadly it didn’t make the next catalog and is on  the retiring list.  Which means you need to grab it now.  Once it’s gone it will be gone forever.   This really made me sad when I saw the retiring list last week.   But I still have it so it means I still can use it no matter what.

Don’t forget that Stampin’ Up!’s Online Extravaganza is going on this week and today was the kick off.  We kicked off today with a flash sale.  There are alot of great products up to 50% off.  So if you love a deal now’s the time, to grab what you love before they are gone.  Once they sell out that will be it.
