Hello Stampers, today’s card is for the Paper Players Color Challenge. The color challenge was you could use Black, White, silver or gold plus one other color. So my brain started working over time to figure out something different to do for this challenge. So I decided to go with a Triple Layer Stamp Card but I still wanted to do something different. So here is my card for this weeks challenge.
Tips & Tricks
I first had to decided what to do with my card I knew I wanted to stamp on the black instead of the white. I tried many different ways doing this and ended up deciding on the triple layer technique. So I reversed the way it was done and still stamped on the black. I stamped my images from Thankful Forest Friends using Versa-mark ink. Make sure that you use the embossing buddy to get a good impression with the embossing powder. this is a card that you don’t want to have stray embossing powder everywhere. I embossed all my images at the same time and used the Gold embossing powder from Stampin’ Up!
Lets talk about the sentiment. This was my one other color on the card. I used Watermelon Wonder because I thought that it would go really well with the black, gold and white of my card. Since red’s usually pair well with all these colors since they are in the warm color family. I used my stamp-a-mig to get two of the three colors you see. I stamped the Watermelon Wonder first and then using the stamp-a-mig I stamped the black right on top. I made sure to clean off the areas I wanted to stay by pop of color. To me it still needed sometime so I broke out my handmade gold watercolors and added some gold accents on my sentiment. I placed the gold on the leaves, top of the acorn and on the buds or berries that are on the branches. That finished of the card with a touch of glamour and sparkle.
