Hello everyone I hope you had a great weekend.   Today’s card is the first in my new series for Christmas.   I am super excited to bring these card ideas to you and help you with getting your Christmas Cards out in the mail.   So how many of you tend to wait to the last minute to get making your Christmas Cards?   I know I do that sometimes:  Sometimes I wait so long I don’t even get them in the mail.   So I have decided that I will no longer be waiting to the last minute.   So, I have designed a line of cards that I can make in a pinch and get them in the mail.   This is the first in that series.   So lets talk about creating it.

Steps to create this card:

  1. You will need a card base that is cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
  2. Next I cut my banner which was created using a 3″ x 5″ piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Merry Moments Paper Stack.   I cut a line in the center where I wanted the banner to start and then cut up from the outside to my center line on both sides to create the banner.   I attached that to my card.
  3. I stamped my pine trees onto my banner.    I used Tip Top Taupe on the two back trees, and Early Espresso on the front tree.  I also stamped my Sentiment at this time.  Using Early Espresso.
  4. Next I made a small bow using the linen thread and attached it to the base of my main tree using a mini glue dot.   Next I put a Stampin’ Basic Rhinestone over the dot of the  “I” in Christmas in my sentiment.    And that is it, I can write my greeting on the inside and out it goes.  This is one of those cards that you can make a lot of and get them done.
