Put the handmade touch back into your holiday season. How can I do this you may be asking? Well one answer can be with the season to season wreath project kit. This wreath is a wonderful project and home decor item from Stampin’ Up!
I was very surprised at how super easy and simple it was to make this wreath and its really pretty. Change the banner from season to season, and create your own for birthdays and holidays using your favorite stamp sets and dies. Makes one wreath with materials for creating three changeable banners: autumn, Halloween, Christmas. I love the fact that you have three banners for the wreath for three different holidays. But you have the option to make more for different holidays or seasons. I will talk more about that later.
So here is what you will need to make the kit. You will need one Season to Season Project Kit Item# 139645 cost $27. Your kit will include It’s a wreath for all seasons.
* 13-1/2″ | 34.3 cm foam wreath base* Die-cut images

* Printed wreath leaves
* Pressed wood feathers
* Ribbon and Baker’s Twine
Complete the kit using the Cheer All Year Stamp Set (item 139839).

Gather with friends and have your demonstrator bring the extra supplies. Or make it on your own with these additional products:
* Cheer All Year Stamp Set
* Cajun Craze Classic Stampin’ Pad
* Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Pad
* Delightful Dijon Classic Stampin’ Pad
* Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad
* Tuxedo Black Memento Pad
* Multipurpose Liquid Glue
* Bone Folder
* Hot glue gun
So know that we have the supplies out of the way lets talk about putting it together. First you want to punch out all your leaves and curl the ends with a bone folder. You will notice that the leaves are bundled in groups of threes. Hold the leaf right above the stem and use your bone folder to curl. It doesn’t take a lot of pressure and goes surprisingly fast. After you have them all curled you want to glue them to the wreath form.
Here’s the tricky part. If you place them to far apart you will have holes and if you place them to close together you will run out. I found that if I glued them 3/4 to 1/2″ apart I was fine and I had enough that I could come back in and add more if needed. My advice is start About 1/2″ apart and then come back and add more. Your only going to cover the front and inside and outside of the wreath not the back.
Now we can start stamping. You are going to want to stamp your acorns and bats before you punch out your die cuts. Everything else punch out before you stamp it. I had left over punch outs of the shapes so I can use for other projects.
After the stamping is done your going to take your trees and glue your sequins to them so they can dry. Because you want to use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 Price: $4.00 or the Fine-Tip Glue Pen 138309 Price: $7.00 for this. The fine tip glue pen makes it really easy to glue the sequins on.
The slender precision tip lays down a fine line of glue—great for adhering delicately detailed paper die cuts, teensy embellishments, and bits of glitter.
While that’s drying your going to take your string that’s included in your kit and cut it into four equal pieces. Tie a knot in both ends of one piece this is so you can put your T-pins in with. Attach your pieces with a small amount of hot glue or the tombow being careful not to glue them to your work surface. I would recommend putting down a piece of glass or something to protect your work surface(like a silicone mat). After you have all your banners made your done. Make your bow and hang.
Now let’s talk about other banners I am going to use the Groovy Love Clear-Mount Stamp Set 134246 to make a banner for Valentine’s Day. But, the possibilities are endless.
Here’s the finished project.
